Robert Norman Costlow (born June 5, 1973), known professionally as Rob Costlow, is a contemporary American pianist. Rob was born in Indianapolis, Indiana. On his Discography he has: Sophomore Jinx (2005), Woods of Chaos (2005), Return - Remix EP (2006), Reconstruction (2008). Rob received a Bachelors and Masters degree in Kinesiology from Indiana University, Bloomington (IU). Before transferring to IU as a junior, Rob began his college career as a Piano Performance and Composition major at Ball State University. He then changed majors to Kinesiology as a sophomore, giving an ironic twist to the meaning of Rob’s first album.    1) As far as your musical career is concerned, what are your plans for the future? 2) Who is your favourite pianist? Who do you think has been the greatest pianist of all time? 3) What kind of stories do your songs tell? 4) Does your musical style belong to a particular school/style or is it spontaneous? I describe the music as universal and contemporary piano. Something that can be paired with just about any environment. It's not classical, new age or jazz. 5) What public is your music directed to? Everyone.  6) From all the places in the world, which do you consider to be the ideal place to perform your compositions?  In more intimate environments, like at home or churches. 7) What has been your greatest achievement? With music, it has been in licensing. I have had over 80 commercial music licenses for use in compilations, TV, Web, film, video and mobile devices. 8) Do you have a special preference for a type or make of piano? Which one do you normally use? Kawai (RX series), I enjoy Steinways as well. 9) Do you have an anecdote that you could share with us? Check this out: http://robcostlow.blogspot.com/2008/05/story-behind-mic.html 10) What do you think about this interview? Thanks for reaching out.
